We wish each one of you a very happy Easter when it comes. We will hold a special service in church to which you are warmly welcomed to come along. Schools are on holiday and kids will be rolling eggs. But what is it all about?
The apostles lived in the good of the truth of this momentous event in Acts 4v33: “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”
It’s speaking of resurrection power. The power of Christ to rise on the third day after His crucifixion. Death defeated by The Prince of Life Himself. It caused His disciples to marvel, and to preach with a fervour hitherto unknown to them.
They had a message that must be shared and power to do so from on high. God's grace and mercy are shown at Calvary and His power to raise us to newness of life that Resurrection Sunday Morning!
Enjoy your break - and even your eggs. Yet above all, know that Christ is risen as Lord and Saviour. All who trust in His dear name are saved by His atoning death 2000 plus years ago. It’s the story that is old, yet ever new.
Wishing each one of you a very blessed Easter.
Much love from all @ GCF
