Question: Are you living a life that is fruitful and making a difference in this world? It’s a very challenging question, isn’t it? Are you as a Christian reaching out and touching lives for Christ?
Jude v20- 23:
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Verse 20- Before you can give out you first must have something to give!
If, for example, you wanted to give £10 to someone you would need to have it or at least be able to access it. So it is in Gods Kingdom too. Prayer allows that withdrawal to take place from the vaults of heaven, the Holy Spirit releasing the power to deliver it.
Verse 21- There is always a dynamic in the bible of God keeping us and us walking in the light and goodness of it. It is a mistake to think we can do anything of spiritual benefit without God’s power. It is also imbalanced to look for God to do what He has called and empowered us to do ourselves.
Verse 22- Compassion is what will really move us to action!
Now, all won’t accept your love and see your heart - but some will!
For those who receive Gods love it will make such a huge difference.
Verse 23- At times you have to be very honest with those you are dealing with, making them aware of where they stand before God. Our duty as Christians is to be like a fireman, aiding and assisting those in danger. Staying in long enough to make a difference yet not so long as to get burned ourselves!
My prayers go out to each one of you. I pray that you, in love and concern, endeavour to touch lives for God and see lives transformed before your eyes, to make a difference.
Love and blessings
