The last few months have brought up a lot of potential change for us here at the Grand Hall Christian Fellowship. We were informed that after almost ten happy years of being based in The Grand Hall, it will be closing in the near future for a multimillion pound makeover. The upshot of this is that it is likely to be closed for at least a year and a half, leaving us with the decision of where to relocate for our new spiritual home. It was not on our agenda to move, however, sometimes God has different plans for us in our lives. This can be challenging - yet exciting at the same time.
Isaiah 43v18&19 tells us this:
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert
God sometimes closes one door yet opens another for us as we enter into a new season. We are excited and delighted to announce we intend to move to CenterStage (the old Kilmarnock Academy building). This is absolutely ideal for us as a base. There is a thriving community to engage with on day one as well as an empathy for the gospel and an opportunity to serve our community, showing the love of Christ. We hope to begin there formally on Sunday 14th August of this year. We are looking and praying “for a new thing” from The Lord. We will be delighted to share updates with you in the weeks and months running up to this. Your prayers and support would be truly valued and appreciated.
God sometimes closes a chapter in our own lives to draw us closer to Himself and to bless us in a way we have never yet known. Being born again is such an experience. God has a new life for you as a new creation in Christ. Further down the road He challenges us causing real spiritual growth.
How exciting! I can’t wait to see what The Lord has in store for us at CentreStage. I do know He has a plan and purpose with blessing for those who are faithful to His word and His ways.
Every blessing- Pastor John and all at GCF.
