March blog 2023: Light and Darkness

Updated: Aug 8, 2023

It’s hard to believe we are into March already. On Sunday 26th the clocks ‘spring forward!’ This is to make best use of the available daylight. Between March and October an hour of day light is ‘borrowed’ from the morning and added to the end of the day. It marks the feeling of the cold, dark months coming to an end.

John 11v9&10:

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Jesus is teaching us to make best use of everyday. To walk in the day and in the light. Otherwise, we will stumble around in the darkness. Now what does that mean to you and I?

The bible teaches us that outside of Christ we are spiritually blind to the things of God. However, when The Lord Jesus who is ‘The Light of the world’ breaks through in our lives we see differently than before. From a heavenly perspective, with the eyes of faith.

There is a great work each believer is called to do and a short time to accomplish it. We must use our time wisely; we must walk in the day and not in the night as it were.

No more stumbling around when Jesus leads you. He is the miracle worker of Galilee. It’s time for His Church to awake and to arise! We have much to do for The Master before our time here on this earth is over.

Like a good farmer who looks forward to the day dawning, may each of us be ready to start our day with God and for God.

Love and blessings- Pastor John
